Dynamic Zen: Meditation in Movement


UKEMI, "the art of falling" is the most powerful tool for inner-development we have after breath control and body-alignment in Aikido Practice. Not only for the obvious attributes of self-preservation and avoiding injuries in martial arts training, but also as an effective physical method of de-clogging the system from tension and fear, allowing our energy to flow freely and uninterrupted, being HERE and NOW without attachments. THIS IS MEDITATION. And meditation in movement is more powerful than meditation at rest.
