Martial Fusion Zenbu Dojo Zazen Practice

DOJO MEMBERSHIP

The first step for a candidate seeking Zenbu Dojo membership and wishing to enter into a Sensei/Deshi (Teacher/Student) relationship is to apply for a trial membership in person during a visit to observe training.

DOJO VISITORS

Visitors from other dojos are welcome to train at Zenbu Dojo. In order to do so, contact us to schedule your visit in advance. We do not accept walk-in guests without prior scheduling. Please arrive 30 minutes before training.

Zenbu Dojo Training Drills Workout Video

DOJO ETIQUETTE

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before practice begins.

  • Remove shoes and any type of jewelry upon arrival.

  • Wash your hands and feet prior entering the tatami.

  • Keep your training uniform clean and in good shape.

  • Keep your fingernails and toenails cut short.

  • Bow when entering and exiting the tatami.

  • Practice zazen before training begins.

  • Training is an experience, keep talking to a minimum.

  • Do not lean against the dojo walls.

  • Be aware of your posture at all times.

  • Always use respectful language in the dojo.

  • Bow to your partner at the before and after training.

  • Clean the dojo and tatami after each practice.
