DOJO ETIQUETTE

Arrive at least 15 minutes before practice begins.

Remove shoes and any type of jewelry upon arrival.

Wash your hands and feet prior entering the tatami.
-
Keep your training uniform clean and in good shape.
-
Keep your fingernails and toenails cut short.
-
Bow when entering and exiting the tatami.
-
Practice zazen before training begins.
-
Training is an experience, keep talking to a minimum.

Do not lean against the dojo walls.
-
Be aware of your posture at all times.

Always use respectful language in the dojo.

Bow to your partner at the before and after training.

Clean the dojo and tatami after each practice.
